ACTIA IME

  • Sustainability

We take responsibility

Sustainability is one of the ACTIA Group’s core values, and all employees and the corporate group actively practise it. We proactively implement well-thought-out measures that combine the three pillars of sustainable development:

  • Social: promoting integration and combatting discrimination
  • Economic: optimisation of production capacities
  • Environmental: participatory management of environmental resources.

We ensure that these values are communicated both internally to employees and externally to customers, suppliers and various partners.
Corporate social responsibility lies at the heart of ACTIA’s commitment.

As a globally active company, we take our responsibility towards society and the environment seriously. We are guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in order to help shape a sustainable future. Our main focus is on the following goals:

  • SDG 3: Good health and well-being. We promote technology that contributes to people’s safety and support.
  • SDG 4: Quality education: We prioritise the education and continuous training of our employees and partners.
  • SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy: We focus not only on energy-efficient products, but also on optimising our production processes to minimise energy consumption.

Commitments from the ACTIA Group

Procedures, audits, e-learning and training ensure that ACTIA is committed, both collectively and individually, to upholding the principles of integrity on a daily basis, in line with the recommendations of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Our commitment to sustainable development has once again been recognised and rewarded by the GAIA Index (47/230).

ACTIA prioritises human rights and environmental protection to ensure the Group’s long-term success. Furthermore, we share a commitment to social and environmental responsibility with all ACTIA subsidiaries. ACTIA’s Code of Ethics, signed in 2014, reflects the founding families’ deeply held values of respect and integrity.

The Group is not present in countries on the blacklist of tax havens. ACTIA also has a department dedicated to export control. All Group companies actively promote respect for and compliance with the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization.

Our Engagement

Social and environmental commitment at all levels

In addition to complying with the ISO 14001 standard and other legal requirements, ACTIA addresses social and environmental issues in practical ways.

We minimise resource and waste consumption, prevent pollution and save energy in order to drive the transition to a circular economy.

We promote eco-design throughout the product development process. We take an innovative, environmentally conscious approach when selecting materials and components. We also focus on sustainability in our production and storage methods, using resources such as water, CO₂ emissions, electricity and natural gas responsibly.

Requirement to suppliers

ACTIA’s values must be shared by our suppliers, as the basis for a long-term partnership. Corporate Social Responsibility is integrated into the ACTIA Supplier Quality Manual, the Purchasing Policy and the Sourcing Committee. Quality and sustainability are key points in the qualification and classification of suppliers.

ACTIA encourages sustainable means of transport for home and work trips: train, carpooling and electric bicycles for employees, as well as the use of the electric car for business trips, are implementing solutions for collective transportation.

Commitment to well-being and diversity

ACTIA goes beyond legal requirements by voluntarily establishing best practices that promote a positive working environment.

  • improving quality of life at work
  • combating discrimination
  • promoting training and continuous professional development
  • promoting diversity and professional equality
  • preventing psychosocial risks.
    Supporting work-life balance

ACTIA is aware that human values are the foundation of its success. The company therefore promotes and supports personal involvement in solidarity projects.
