How do I install the software?
You can download the software at any time from our Basic One download area (see “Basic One Downloads”).
If you have purchased a product, you will need your device number.
If you don’t have it on hand, you can also download the software from the general software download area by entering your contact details.
Where can I find the user manual?
You can find the user manual at the top of this page, in the “Basic One Downloads” section.
The manual is currently only available in English.

Where can I find my device number?
The device number (SN number) can be found on your device’s housing.
If you cannot find it, our support team will be happy to help you.
My Basic One does not start when I plug in the USB cable
For increased operational safety, the Basic One has galvanic isolation between the OBD and USB ports and must be powered via the OBD port.
My diagnostic application does not recognize Basic One as a passthru device for SAE J-2534 diagnostics
In the “Basic One Control” management software, Basic One must be selected as an SAE J-2534 device so that it can be identified for diagnostic applications in the Windows registry.
Is the software free of charge?
